Sealants
Some people’s teeth have fine grooves or pits that are susceptible to plaque buildup. This is due not to neglect or poor overall oral health but because the grooves are simply too narrow for even one toothbrush bristle to penetrate and clean them.
Plaque accumulation leads to tooth decay, so to treat these fissures we’ll often use sealants as a common preventative treatment, brushing a special plastic material onto the tooth to fill these narrow grooves and guard against further cavity-causing buildup.

“Took my daughter to this office. Dr. Gibson is absolutely wonderful. She is extremely skilled and has an incredible bedside manner. Her office is beautiful and kid friendly. In fact, it’s probably the nicest doctor’s office I’ve ever been to.”
