At Shenandoah Smiles, Dr. Gibson and her caring team are here to help your child’s smile stay healthy, strong, and—most importantly—happy!

At Shenandoah Smiles, we understand how important it is for your child to have a healthy, confident smile. Sometimes, dental issues arise that require a bit more than routine care. That’s where restorative dentistry comes in. Dr. Gibson and our compassionate team offer a full range of gentle, child-focused treatments to repair and protect your child’s teeth. Each procedure is tailored to your child’s unique needs, with their comfort and well-being as our top priority.

White Crowns

When a baby tooth is too damaged for a filling but still needs to be preserved, a crown is a durable and ‘gold standard’ solution in pediatric dentistry. We have many options that include Stainless Steel Crowns, WHITE pediatric Sprig zirconia, and White BioFlex which are all specially pre-designed for children. These crowns are strong, esthetically pleasing, and help restore function and appearance while blending seamlessly with your child’s natural teeth.

Baby-Teeth and Immature Permanent Teeth Type Root Canals

When decay reaches the nerve of a baby tooth, a baby root canal—also called a pulpotomy—may be needed to save the tooth. This procedure gently removes the affected portion of the nerve, helping relieve pain and prevent infection. Preserving the tooth helps maintain proper spacing and development until the adult tooth is ready to come in. We also are able to perform tooth saving procedures to the forming permanent teeth if damaged from caries and or trauma.

Teeth Extractions

In some cases, a tooth may need to be removed due to severe decay, trauma, or to make space for developing permanent teeth. Our pediatric dentists perform extractions with great care and attention to your child’s comfort, using techniques that minimize discomfort and promote quick healing.

Bonding

Dental bonding is a simple, effective way to repair small chips, cracks, or other minor imperfections in a tooth. Using a tooth-colored resin, a pediatric dentist carefully restores the shape and look of the tooth, supporting both its appearance and function. It’s a conservative treatment that can make a big difference in your child’s smile.

Fillings

To treat cavities and restore the strength of a tooth, we use high-quality, tooth-colored fillings. These materials are safe, durable, and blend beautifully with natural enamel. Fillings help protect your child’s teeth from further decay and support a healthy bite and smile.

At Shenandoah Smiles, we’re committed to providing restorative dental care that is both effective and comforting for your child. Our approach ensures that every visit feels safe, supportive, and centered on your family’s needs. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation, we’re here to help every step of the way.
